Kundapur:  State Minister for Mujrai and Ports Kota Srinivas Poojari  on December 21, Friday paid a surprise visit to the Kundapur taluk office and served a show cause notice to the tahsildar who was absent without prior intimation.

The minister who also found that the village accountant SR Naika too was absent after duly signing the register, he directed that the VA be suspended and said the DC would conduct a probe and initiate necessary action.

 The minister took serious cognizance of the delay caused in the office in clearing files of the public and also the delay in land conversion and survey works. The minister also assured to appoint four new surveyors to expedite the works.

 B Sadashiv Prabhu, AC of Kundapur,  K Mohandas Shenoy, Chairman of Kundapur Town Municipal Council and several others were present.
