Mangalore : post centenary silver jubilee celebration of Ursuline Franciscan Sisters (UFS), a congregation was celebrated at Rosario on April 12 Thursday.

The chief celebrant was Bernard Moras, the archbishop of Bangalore commenced with the thanksgiving mass at Rosario Cathedral at 4:00 pm to mark the beginning of celebrations.

The felicitations and cultural event was followed by the mass, during which five books related to the UFC were released.

The religious leaders, priests, nuns, bishops, and dignitaries in large number participated in this event.

The Ursuline Franciscan Sisters was launched in Mangalore at Rosario Cathedral in 1887.
