Mangalore: More than half of the MLAs in the state assembly ought to be behind bars. The entire election process has been corrupted due to cash and liquor distribution. In such a grim scenario the Karnataka Praja Pragathi Ranga has emerged as a strong political alternative, claimed Kodihalli Chandrashekhar, President of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha who is also the state chief of the Praja Pragati Rangha.
Addressing a regional conference of the Ranga in the city on June 3, Sunday, he said elected representatives have chosen to be the voice of their parties rather than the voice of the people. The Praja Pragati Ranga, he said will field those candidates who would feel the pulse of the people and will be with them through thick and thin.
Among those present on the occasion were Abdul Majid Kodlipete, State President of SDPI, Ilyas Thumbay, State President of PFI, R Mohan Raj, State President of DSS (Bhimavad) and Venkata Swamy of Samatha Sainika Dala.
