Mangalore : Communist Party of India (Marxists) General Secretary Prakash Karat visited district sub-jail in Mangalore on Sunday, May 20.
Speaking to media, he said that CPI(M) will support Vittal Malekudiya to release from the jail and write his exams, because he is innocent. Vittal is accused of breaching war against state by the Karnataka’s Anti-Naxal Force. If needed we will take forward the case till the Supreme Court to give justice to Vittal and his father.
He also said that CPI(M) will render its support morally and physically to release him from the jail and no one can stop it.
Speaking on the presidential election, he said that we will consult other party and take the decision as soon as possible.
Democratic Youth Federation of India district unit president Muneer Katipalland B Madhava, district secretary of CPI(M) were present.
