Mangaluru : To mark the 60th birthday of Korangrapadi Prakash Shetty, president of MRG group, a felicitation programme “Prakashabhinandana” at Gold Finch City, Bangrakulur on today has been organized. The programme will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yediyurappa”.

Addressing the mediapersons Suresh Shetty said, “To mark the “Prakashabhinandana”, on December 19, Rs 1 crore scholarship was distributed to 166 deserving and financially weak students. Prakash Shetty has contributed a lot to the society and on his 60th birthday, we the committee members planned to hold “Prakashabhinandana”.

Suresh Shetty further said, “The programme will be inaugurated by CM Yediyurappa. More than 25000 people are expected to take part in the celebrations. At 4:00 pm, Patla Sathish Shetty and team will perform Yakshagana. The programme will be inaugurated at 6:00 pm and will be followed by a musical nite by Indian film score and soundtrack composer and singer Arjun Janya and Vijay Prakash. Film Actors Ravichandran and Yash will be the special guests of the day. The DCM Dr C N Ashwathnarayan, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Central minister Sadananda Gowda, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, Tourism minister C T Ravi, MLC and district minister in-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP Shobha Karndlaje, MLA Sumalatha Ambarish will be the chief guests”.
