Mangalore : The suspected suicide of Pramila, who was found hanging in the woods close by Kadri park on March 19, Tuesday has taken a new twist with the girl’s father alleging that his daughter had been murdered.
Pramila hailed from Dolpady in Puttur and was one of the two daughters and three sons of Ammu Poojari. Ammu who was in Mangalore on March 20, Wednesday to take the body of his daughter which was placed in the Wenlock morgue, said his daughter would not have committed suicide. He argues that she was very much normal when she spoke to her family over phone last Sunday and had even promised to come home to attend a wedding of a close relative on March 21.
Ammu further said he noticed bruises on his daughter’s hands and scratch marks on her chest. The police are however reportedly stating that they were marks of bee stings. But Ammu says otherwise.
Pramila had come to Mangalore a year ago to do a computer course and also worked part time at a textile store in Mangalore. She stayed at a hostel at Kadri. Police had recovered her ATM card and mobile phone from near the place where the body was found hanging.
Kadri police are conducting investigations.
