Mangalore : Bharatha Kranti Sena Chief Pranavananda Swamiji urged the state government to withdraw the compensation of Rs 10 lakhs announced to the family of Kabeer, who was killed by ANF near Shringeri checkpost.
He also urged the government to arrest all other absconding cattle traffickers.
Addressing the press meet held at hotel wood lands on April 23, Wednesday, he said that his organisation will reward the ANF police with the cash prize of Rs one lakh for shooting illegal cattle transportor Kabeer.
He also said that if the CBI investigation proves ANF personnel innocent, then the amount of Rs 10 lakh announced as compensation to Kabeer’s family must be given to the family of ANF police for his bravery, he said.
Pranavananda swamiji said that the government’s decision to compensate the family of Kabir was indirectly encouraging the cattle traffickers and this would demoralised the police forces.
He also said that MLA Moidin Bava and minister UT Khader of protecting cattle traffickers and demanded a CID probe even against them.
