Mangaluru : The 2nd year Pre-University students appeared for the Biology paper of the four-part, multi-choice Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to under-graduate medical and engineering courses held on May 12, Tuesday morning.
As many as 11,696 children from Mangaluru appeared for CET that began on Tuesday. After Biology, the students gave the Mathematics examination in the afternoon. The Physics and Chemistry examinations will be held on Wednesday, May 13. The examination was being held in 22 centres in Mangaluru, Puttur, Moodbidri and Ujire.
The tests are held in 11 centres in Mangaluru, six centres in Moodbidri, three at Puttur and two in Ujire.
In Udupi too nearly 4,080 candidates have registered for CET.
