Mangalore :  Preparations are afoot to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami in Mangalore. Markets are flooded with devotees making purchases for the celebration.

Temples are also decked up for the festivities and people are seen purchasing vegetables and flowers for the festival.

Following the Janmashtami Mosaru Kudike is celebrated with great fervor in the district.  Various Temples in DK and Udupi district too celebrate the festival with great fervor. Udupi is famous for its Vittla pindi celebrations. In Mangalore the ISKCON will be celebrating Janmashtami at the TMA Pai Convention Hall on August 28.
