Mangalore : President of India Pranab Mukherjee received a warm welcome by the district administration at Mangalore International Airport here on July 18.

B Ramanath Rai, minister for forest, environment and ecology, welcomed the president along with Mangalore mayor Mahabala Maarla, Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim and police commissioner R Hitendra.

President Mukherjee came on a special flight to attending the first convocation of the Central University of Kerala at Periya in Kasaragod.

After attending the first convocation he will participate the inaugural programme the platinum jubilee celebrations of the College of Engineering in Thiruvananthapuram.
