Mangaluru : President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in the city on Thursday October 7. He is on a state tour from October 6 to 8.

He will stay at circuit house overnight and will depart for Sringeri in a special helicopter on the morning of October 8. After paying obeisance to the presiding deity at Sringeri, he will return to the city and will later leave for New Delhi.

The Mangaluru City Corporation has undertaken a cleanliness drive in the city. The road leading to the Circuit House from the Mangalore International Airport has been repaired.

Security was beefed up from Mangaluru airport to the circuit house.
