Mangalore : The Silver Jubilee Endowment Lecture of the SDM Law College and Centre for Post-graduate Studies and Research in Law, was held on December 4 at the college auditorium. Justice Markandeya Katju, Press Council of India Chairman and former Supreme Court Judge was the key-note speaker.

He delivered a talk on ‘ Constitutional Jurisprudence’ on the occasion.  Justice Katju spoke on the significance of constitutional jurisprudence and added  learning this vital aspect would enhance the knowledge of the youngsters and will also make them more enlightened. He also spoke on  how the  rights of the people are protected in a democratic and secular set up.

An interactive session with the students was also arranged on the occasion.

Dr BK Ravindra, Principal of SDM Law College,  Dr B Yashovarma, Secretary of SDM Educational Society, Dr Taranath, Co-coordinator of the Event. Rajeev Ranjan Nag, Press Council of India Member  and Dr K Devaraj, Principal of SDM College of Business Management were present.
