Mangalore : Police have achieved a breakthrough in the investigation into the case of murder of Anjana, an assistant manager in Katipalla Branch of Syndicate Bank.

One Mahesh considered the prime accused in the case has been arrested by the Urva police at Surat in Gujarat and brought to Mangalore. Mahesh was the boy friend of Anjana and had reportedly strangulated her to death at his rented house at Bejai Kapikad in April. He had then fled.

The exact motive of the murder is not yet known. He was earlier working as security supervisor at Hotel Poonja International. Investigations are progressing.
