Mangaluru : As part of a nationwide pro-farmer protest against the amendment of Land Bill Act,  Various farmer organisations and political parties staged a Rasta Roko protest near the Nantoor Circle on September 25, Friday.

The pro-farmer protesters marched near Nanturu Circle and staged protest shouting slogans against the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Former legislator J.R. Lobo said,  the central government who had come to power in the name of the poor, farmers were now working to whitewash the black money of the capitalists.

DYFI State President Muneer Katipalla, District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai, A C Vinayraj, Vasudev Uchil, Raghu Ekkar, Santosh Kumar Bajal, and others participated in the protest.
