Mangalore : Around 25,000 youths from DK District and neighboring areas to part in a religious congregation starting from Milagres Church and marching towards on Sunday Nov.17, ending in a public rally of religious interest at the venue.

A holly mass was conducted under the leadership of the Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, while several local organizations lent their support to the holding of the youth rally.

The Bishop bless the occasion and instructed the youth to keep their faith burning and carry on their duties of life in a spirit of trust and courage.

Placards held by youth in the rally stated to unite and work together to achieve a goal.

The occasion was a part of planed year of youth 2012-2013.

The closing ceremony of the Year of Faith will be held on November 22, 23 and 24 at Nehru Maiden from 4 to 7:30 pm. The event was attended by Fr Vinith of The Association of the Catholic Faithfull, Varanasi, Fr Joseph Edutu of Divine Retreat Centre, Kerala and Fr Cardoza and Fr Franklin will be part of the spiritual programme.

The ‘Mega Magnificat 2013’ religious programme will be held on December 1, 2013 at Lourdes Central School Ground, Bejai at 5pm.  The event was attended by American Catholic jazz and hip hop singer Fr Stan Porthuna.

City MLA J. R. Lobo sat through the program to encourage the tremendous turnout off thousands of youths in the rally.
