Mangaluru : District magistrate and Deputy commissioner, K G Jagadeesh issued a order to extended Prohibitory orders under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code promulgated all over Dakshina Kannada district except the limits of the city police commissionerate till 12 midnight on June 27.

After a murder at Benjanapadavu in Bantwal taluk on Wednesday, the orders were extended for one more week. The prohibitory orders issued earlier had been extended from June 14 to 21.

The police security tightened in Bantwal taluk to prevent of any unpleasant incident in the district. Carrying of weapons, raising slogans and organizing processions have been banned during this period.
