Mangalore: In a peace committee meeting of several communities assembled on Monday addressed by DK Minister Krishna Palemar, it was stated by CPC Seemanth K. Singh that a prohibitory order under section 144 of IPC has been issued to take advance steps against any rioting or rebellion by any party or its wing in DK dt, from Sept.23 to 26.
The Luknow verdict on Ayodhya is due on Sept. 24 without further adjournments, it is understood. The meeting took place in DCO premises with Singh presiding over the event.
However, limited programmes will take place at the time of Sn.144 in force.
SP A.S. Rao warned against fake rumours and persons trying to stir up trouble. People in Ayodhya are remaining peaceful so far. The police in DK are well prepared to take necessary steps to punish the wrong doers, he added.
