Subrahmanya: A proposal of Rs 8 crore to repair the roof of Kukke Shree Subrahmanya Temple has been sent to the government. As soon as the government signs the proposal the renovation work will be commenced, said Mujarai Commissioner Shadakshari Swamy on Thursday.
He was speaking after attending a master plan meeting of renovation of the temple. “The roof of the temple has become weak and the water during the rainy season will drip inside the temple. A plastic cover has been spread over the roof as temporary solution and as soon as the government agrees for the proposal we will begin the work,” he said.
Commenting on the new common guest house he said that a 600 roomed new guest house will be constructed in the second phase.
“The land acquisition process for the expansion of road from temples car street to Kumardhara river is going on.” He added.
