Mangaluru : A complaint has been filed against BJP minority morcha leader Franklin Monteiro for threatening the perish priest of St Lawrence Church, Bondel for not turning up at the protest against cow slaughter and theft organized by the former on Sunday.

Franklin, who is also the president of Rashtriyavadi Kristara Vedike, had organised a protest against cow slaughter in front of St Lawrence Church, Bondel. As the perish priest and other devotees of the church did not participate in the protest, Franklin along with another person after the protest allegedly barged into the church office and hurled abuses at the priest.

Following this, a case has been registered against Franklin at Mangaluru Rural police station.
