Mangaluru: Pandeshwara police have arrested and released more than 30 people for protesting against the counselling of additional teachers transfer, on Thursday.

A counselling meeting was held at BEO office at Bolar in regard with transfer of the additional teachers. DYFI, SFI and other organisations had submitted a request letter to the ZP President Meenakshi Shantigodu seeking stopping the counselling process.

DYFI and other organisation gathered at the counselling spot and disturbed the process. Police interfered in the matter and arrested the protestors. The protestors were released after some time.

DYFI leader Santhosh Bajal, B K Imtiyaz, SFI leader Nitin Kutthar, Charan and others were arrested.
