Mangalore : After a week of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to city to address the public rally on April 4, it is revealed that the various organized which staged protest near DC’s office, was not actual against Mr Gandhi, but it was against the harassment of corporator Pratibha Kulai by a group.

A woman activist and School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya former principal Dr Olinda Pereira said that she had participated in the protest and it had nothing to do with Rahul Gandhi’s visit but was against harassment on woman.

She also said that after the protest, she had received many calls to clarify whether the protest was against Rahul Gandhi’s visit or Congress party. But I was just present to protest against the group which tortured corportor Prathibha Kulai, she said.

The slogan ‘Go Go Rahul Go! Go Go Rahul Go!’ and showing of black flag was indicating the anger towards party for not giving adequate security to women, she added.
