Mangalore: A large rally in protest against Church attacks and connected atrocities by hooligans against minority group in DK, was organised by 24 service organisations on Friday, Feb.10, when people walked from Jyothi circle in Balmatta to Deputy commissioner’s office in Pandeshwar to express their public concern and demonstrate against miscreants.

Abdul Razaq addressed the gathering to say that wherever BJP ruled in India, minority groups had been targeted in many ways, disregarding democratic values. The Popular front of India (PFI) tainted organisation leader added that evidently, whenever BJP came to power through ballet box, it not only indulged in land scams and illegal wealth processes it went to the extent of blue films shown to MLAs in Vidhana Soudha lobbies and Sabha hall, to desecrate  legislature leaving the sate in disgrace and general contempt.

He asked CM Sadananda Gowda to resign his post for bringing BJP to its knees before the world, as per foreign news reports, and TV channels discussions that follows on Feb 7 to 9 in massive reaction. Thinker Shiva Sunder began by saying that coastal district were known for their pious culture and human value.

But BJP ministers gave a lie to that their irresponsibility within the sacred legislature hall that ruled a state was abominable especially when debates were going on about drought conditions in ever 100 talukas.

Those who had voted for BJP MLAs were left in shame. The govt. should be dissolved by the Governor now such, is the scandal prevailing in BJP circles, naked in its true colours.

Sunder criticised Eshwarappa who had brushed aside the whole shameful episode, consequent on Udupi BJP MLA’s organised 3-day bash in St. Mary island and 3 ministers later lapping it  up in Vidhana Sabha, as “not a crime”,

BJP was defending its wrong policies in the name of coastal tourism. In the sindgi flag-hoisting muddle, Pramod Mutalik of Sri Rama Sena had produced all evidence to blame RSS men involved in the notorious incident, in order to spite their own faces.

But BJP is still favoring only upper castes to hang the dogs with a bad name, Sunder spat out.

The religious faith of earnest devoted Hindus was being misused  by BJP in Ayodhya, Udupi Vidhana Soudha now, he pointed out.

Human Rights activist Prof, N. Basvaiah speaking on the occasion asked that common people should come forward to resist atrocities being committed by BJP, against the minorities and OBCs.

A memorandum was submitted to CM through DC, for communal harmony under PM’s 15 points plan.

Catholic Sabha’s Cyril point added that this was the right time for a people’s character ingraining  constitutional rights in India.
