Bantwal: Mohammad, the conductor of a private bus on the Mangalore BC Road route was brutally assaulted by a group of men alleging that he had misbehaved with a lady passenger in the bus. The incident took place at Melkar Junction on September 12, Thursday.

The bus conductor was so brutally beaten up that he had to be taken to the hospital. It is learnt the woman was an Anganavadi teacher and her husband took the conductor to task and eventually the public  too joined him in thrashing the conductor.

It is also being said that the conductor misbehaved with lady passengers even in the past.
