Mangalore : The Karnataka State PU College Lecturers’ Association and Coordination Committee will organize an indefinite strike demanding equal wages for PUC degree college lecturers from Dec 8.

Addressing the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands hall on Dec 6, Tuesday, Radhakrishna Rao Kandila, the lecturer of Commerce at Badriya Pre University College said that all teachers and principals of government and private colleges along with lecturers associations have joined hands for the strike.

He also said that even agfter holding many protest and giving memorandum to the concerned authority, the demands of pre-university college teachers have not yet been considered.

He further said that lecturers have been ignored while assistant engineers, assistant education officers, tahsildars, block development officers, and other occupants of II Class posts have been promoted to the I Class in accordance with the 4th Pay Commission.
