Mangalore : The People’s Union for Civil Liberties regret for people of the state for the crores of money being misused by the state government in the name of tax for the temples and mutts.
At the meeting organized by the state council of PUCL on Saturday, decided to pressurize the state government to change its thoughts and take care of people’s rights without any bias.
Dr V Laxminarayan, State General Secretary of PUCL, said that his organization seriously demands the police officials to stop the harassment on human rights activists in Karnataka.
Further, it was decided that the PUCL will hold a nationwide campaign from May 22 to August 1 to mark the 10th year of Irom Sharmila’s fast, he said.
