Mangaluru: Chairing the preparatory meeting of health workers here on Wednesday, A.B Ibrahim, said the Dakshina Kannada district administration will conduct Pulse Polio Immunization Programme (IPPI) on January 18.

He said that children between the ages of 0-5 years can take on IPPI, and he asked the co-operation of all sections of the society to encourage participation, it is important to see that vaccination reaches every child, he said.

There will be 921 vaccination centers, 26 mobile units, 3808 health workers and 189 supervisors will conduct this programme. The health workers will visit houses three from January 19 in the rural areas, he said.

District Health Officer Dr Ramakrishna Rao was present.
