Puttur: Bengaluru City Police officials have arrested three persons who were reportedly trying to sell diamond crystals worth about Rs 40 lakhs to a shop at Bengaluru.
The three accused are identified as Sudheer from Belandur, Ravikumar from Balnadu villages in Puttur taluk and Praveen Kumar from Beltangady villge
It is said that around nine rare diamond crystals and a car has been taken into custody by the police.
The accused approached a jewellery making shop near the city market on September 1. They were taken into custody by a team of policemen led by inspector Kumaraswamy.
Officials claim that the accused had kept the diamonds in a red purse normally used by ladies. Investigation is underway.
