Mangaluru: Puttur town police have arrested one person inconnection with three theft, cheating cases and seized gold jewelry worth Rs 1.70 lakh on Sunday. The arrested has been identified as Suresh Naik (51), a resident of Marathimoole located at Kanyana village in Bantwal taluk. The accused reportedly took away valuables from Puttur and Uppinangady bus stands in three separate incidents reported recently.
The accused was used target aged couple to steal, rob the valuables gaining their trust. The search operation was led by superintendent of police Sudheer Kumar, DYSP Srinivas, circle inspector Mahesh Prasad and others.
