Mangalore: Dr. K.B. Vijay Kumar of Mangalore University has guided his student, Fr. Antony P. Monteiro, who teaches Physics at St. Philomena’s college in Puttur and looks after the College Campus as well, to secure a Ph.D degree o the thesis of “ A study of Meson Spectroscopy in the framework of Constituent Quirk models”

Dr. Montereiro has been a rank student from Udupi district, born in August 1976, and has M.Sc in Physics with gold medal from Mangalore University. He was ordained as a priest in 2006 here.

9 of his research papers were published in academic journals. He has authored 5 Bible quiz books in Konkani, Kannada and English, besides 5 other books on other topics. His Quiz books went into 5 editions. He is well-known as Quiz-priest, conducting shows.

Dr. Antony Monteiro is interested in Quantum physics and Bible communications. He talks in seminars, Camps, and meetings as spiritual director of Jesus  youth in Mangalore.
