Puttur: The town police have arrested four persons on the charges of drugs trafficking on November 30, Monday night at Naithadi in Kemminje village. Ganja weighing 6.36 kg valued at Rs 1.25 lakhs, five mobile phones and two cars have been seized from the arrested.

The total value of the seized goods is Rs 5 lakhs.

Those arrested are Muhammad Arshad (26) of Manjeshwar, Riyaz (27) of Uppala, Abdul Jabir (23) of Kabaka in Puttur and Abdul Nazeer (27) of Bannur. The accused were reportedly transporting the ganja from Kerala to be sold in Puttur, Sullia and other places.

Puttur Town Police have registered a case.
