Puttur: A 49-year-old woman died after a compound wall of her house collapsed due to the heavy rains in Golithottu of Puttur taluk on Tuesday, July 7 afternoon.

The deceased is Vasanthi, 49, wife of KSRTC bus driver Chandra Shekhar.

As per the sources, the incident took place when a compound wall of the upper house fell on while Vasanti was rolling beedi in the backyard of her house.
