Mangalore : Mangalore’s Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Rachana which hosted ‘Magnet 2014’, a world convention of Mangalorean businessmen and entrepreneurs, is planning to take 100 youth into entrepreneurship.
Speaking on the occasion, Rachana president John Monteiro, said that the organization formed Rachana Entrepreneur Development Cell to achieve this goal.
MLC and former president of Ivan D’Souza said that the community members must train he youths who have excelled in different fields. He also urged the established entrepreneurs to support the cause.
Mumbai based educationalist Albert D’Souza, urged Rachana to adopt certain methodologies to train students from engineering, medical, humanities and commerce colleges and make them as young entrepreneurs through various innovation, creativity and inner inspiration.
Mangalore Bishop Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza urged Rachana to reach out to the community with realistic works and do not stand for conducting meetings.
Later the members of ‘Magnet 2014’ handed over the amount of Rs 12.5 lakh generated for the event.
