Mangaluru: The Raghavendra Sapthaha Rajathothsava will be organised by Paryaya Palimaru mutt from February 16 to 22 at Rajangana in Udupi.
Speaking to reporters here, Paryaya Palimaru mutt Sri Vidhyadheesha Theertha Swami said that the Raghavendra Sapthaha Rajathothsava is celebrated to commemorate the birthday celebrations of seer Raghavendra.
The seven-day celebration would comprise religious discourse, bhajans, and spiritual rituals. Special poojas will be held twice a day in the week during the celebrations.
The celebration also marks the festival wherein everyone can gather irrespective of caste, faith, and gender.
‘Srinivasa Kalyana’ will be held on February 21 followed by Shobha Yatra.
The ‘Pattabhisheka’ ceremony will be held on February 20 and Raghavendra Jayanti will be celebrated on February 22 where the statue of the seer would be anointed with 100 litres of milk, he added.
