Mangalore: District minister and State Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment Ramanatha Rai inaugurated the degree block of Melkar Women’s PUC and Degree College, Marnabail, a unit of Mangalore Education Enhancement Trust.
Former vice chancellor of Kannur and Calicut Universities Prof Abdul Rahman, Yenepoya Group Chairman Y. Mohammad Kunhi were present as chief guests.
SM Rasheed, Chairman of the institute, presided over the function.A student from commerce section in 2011-12 Shanthi Marina Vegas was awarded with ‘Gyanashree’ state award from the Jyana Mandira Academy for her academic excellence.
