Mangalore : With the swearing-in of the new ministers of the Siddaramaiah government scheduled to take place on May 18, Saturday, reports as of now state that as many as three MLAs from undivided DK have made it in the list of probable ministers prepared by the chief minister.
Bantwal Legislator Ramanatha Rai, Kaup MLA Vinaykumar Sorake and Mangalore MLA UT Khader’s names are in the list.
Though the swearing in was to take place on Friday it has been postponed to Saturday as the finalized list is yet to be readied. The party chief Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul are expected to finalize the list.
If Ramanatha Rai is sure to get a berth. It may be either Khader or Sorake, though reports suggest that Sorake is moving heaven and earth for a cabinet berth.
In the meantime, the Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain too is learnt to be keen to get a cabinet berth.
