Bantwal: Forest and District In-Charge Minister Ramanath Rai took a bus ride in his own constituency to check thedevelopmental works in Bantwal taluk, on Monday.
He visited nearly ten places where the developmental works are under progress. Here are the list of places that were visited by Rai,
Place no 1: First he visited the Traveler’s Bunglow, which is being constructed at the cost of Rs 3.31 crore. Meanwhile, he said that a beautiful tree park project will be undertaken by the forest department near the bunglow.
Place 2: The next place visited by him is 100-bedded government hospital which is under construction at the cost of Rs 9.91 crore. He inspected the dialysis block, mortuary and the kitchen. The relevant details were provided by Dr Ramakrishna, Dustrict Surgeon.
Place 3: Then he visited the construction work of Panje Mangesha Rao memorial hall. Rai advised the Assistant Commissioner Ashok to make some changes to the plan.
Place 4: The Minister then had a look at the phase two work of a drinking water project at Jakribettu at a cost of Rs 50.31 crores. Here, executive engineer Mahadeva and Shobhalatha from the state water works department provided the necessary information to the minister on the progress made till date.
Place 5: Rai then visited and spent some time in newly built park at B C Road Circle. He took some photographers with him and some local elected representatives.
Place 6: The Minister’s bus next stopped at construction spot of private bus stand near circle.
Place 7: The minister then inspected the site for the new traffic police station where new DySP Ravish and Assistant Commissioner assisted him.
Place 8: He then visited the work of MESCOM dividional office at Kaikunje, which is being built at the cost of Rs 4.39 crore.
Place 9: Then his bus stopped at construction of Mini Vidhana Soudha near B C Road. He was very much impressed with the work.
Place 10: Finally his bus stopped at the proposed KSRTC bus stand which is under construction at the cost of Rs 7.39 crore.
“All the works will complete by next 3-4 months. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate and dedicate the projects,” he said.
Tahashildar Purandar Hegde, Circle Inspector Manjaiah and other ZP and TP members accompanied him during the journey.
