Mangaluru : The Excise department and railway police jointly sized  liquor that was being transported illegally on a train at Mangaluru Junction railway station on Friday May 28.

The operation was led by Shailaja Kote, joint commissioner of Excise and Ajay Kumar, inspector southern railway Mangaluru.

As much as 138.750 litres of liquor was seized from the Dadar-Tirunalveli express train.

It is said, the accused went missing after thepolice raid. A case under Excise Act was registered.
