Bantwal : A 7 year old boy Mohammed Arshad, died when a retaining wall collapsed on his house during heavy rain, accompanied by gusty wind, at Pudu village near Bantwal on Thursday.

The deceased Mohammed Arshad, son of Haneef, had stepped out to use the toilet while the incident occurred. He was a first slandered student at Sujeer Government Higher Primary School in Pudu. Arshad, fifth of six children of Hanif, was intelligent, and was performing very well at school.

Health minister, U T Khader, Zilla panchayat vice president, Satish Kumpala, member, Jayashree, and many visited the the spot on Friday.
