The railway tracks near Kulshekar after a two-day downpour were drowned in mud sliding from hillsides on to those tracks. The rains belied all expectations and poured heavily for day and night. The waters have created ponds over the tracks and a goods train had to pas through to remove the muddy waters and clear the tracks on Saturday. As a result, several trains were cancelled, and passengers were uncomfortable. A man wanted to go to Goa had to hire a taxi to keep his appointments.
Railways feel it may take 2 days to clear the tracks.
