The occasion of Raksha Bandhan involves a pledge of life-time practice of moral, cultural and spiritual values. The values and the sentiments attached to the rituals of this festival are worth inculcating by the whole human race, the sentiments of harmony and peaceful coexistence” said Suresh, RSS Pracharak of Mangaluru as the Chief Guest speaking on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan celebrations at Shakthi.
“It is our responsibility to take care of a sapling or a drop of water that in turn would take care of us. Take care of your body and that in turn will take care of you. It is necessary to survive in pollution free, drug free, socially aware environment with brotherhood sentiments that leads to National integrity, he added.
Basavesh, Joint Organising Secretary of ABVP, Karnataka stated that “Raksha Bandhan symbolizes the unmatched bond of love, care and respect. But in a broader perspective the festival of Raksha Bandhan conveys an intrinsic message of universal brotherhood and sisterhood. The festival of Rakhi celebrated in Educational institutions conveys a message that has socio spiritual significance emphasising the need for nurturing of positive qualities, purity in thought, word and deed”.
Dr. K.C.Naik in his Presidential Address shared that “Rakhi festival celebration is not just restricted to a particular state or place. It is celebrated nationwide. These rituals not only strengthen the bond of love, but also transcends the boundaries of the family. This helps to broaden ones’ vision beyond the borders of one’s own family to the entire earth as one family”.
Prasanna Darbe, Trustee Kukke Shree Subramanya Temple, Institute Development officer Prakyath Rai, Prof. T.Rajaram Rao, Principal Shakthi PU College, Vidya Kamath G, Principal Shakthi Residential School, all teaching and non-teaching staff were present on this occasion.
