Mangalore : The Sri Ramostava will be celebrating its decennial year celebration at Nehru Maidan from April 11, Monday to April 13, Wednesday. The event is being organized by VHP, Bhajarangdal and Sri Ramostava committee.
Speaking at the press meet held Press Club on April 5, Tuesday Jithendra S Kottari, president said that Vedamurthy Giridhar Bhat, will install the Lord Ram’s Idol at the palace to be constructed at the venue on April 11. The various cultural programmes like Narthana Bhajana Competition for the men and women.
On April 12 the Vayu Punascharana oblation will be held at 9 am and followed by the Maha Pooja at 12.30 pm.
Bangalore’s Srivari Foundation will hold Srinivas Kalyanotsava on April 13 and the procession will start from Carstreet Sri Venkataramana Temple at 3.30 pm.
At 9 pm the committee will hold ‘Ravana Dahana’ in which after the rituals the 60ft staute of Ravana will be burnt as a symbol of destroyed the evil. This time the statue of Ravana is done by the West Bengal artistes, he said.
As a part of cultural programme, the dance group ‘Ocean Kids’ will perform the dance form of Ramayan and Dashavataar on April 11. ‘Sri Krishna Leele Kamsa Vadhe’ by Ganesha Yakshagana Study Centre, Urwa Vishwa Hindu Parishath on April 12 and ‘Tulunada Vaibhava’ by the artistes of Mulky Yuvavahini directed by Chandrashekar Suvarna.
Sri Narendranath Yogishwareshwara Swamiji , Sr Rajashekarananda Swamiji and Sri Yogananda Saraswathi Swamiji will deliver the benedictory speech on April 11, 12 and 13 respectively, he added.
MB Puranik, honourary president, Manohar Thulajram, president of VHP, Gopalakrishna Kutthar, general secretary and Shivanand Mendon were present at the press meet.
