Belthangady: Police have arrested a person for raping a Dalit lady, on Saturday.

Based on the complaint given by the victim police have arrested Dinesh Bangera (23) of Gerukatte.

Dinesh had raped a Dalit lady six month before. The lady was on the way to town from her home. Dinesh stopped her in a deserted area and raped her. The lady hasn’t revealed it with anyone and now after she become pregnant, she had filed a case.

The lady was subjected to medical tests at Belthangady government hospital.
