Karwar : A total of twelve persons including four women were arrested for participating in a rave party  at the Honeybeach resort near Ankola on the night of June 9. All the men arrested are said to  be from Mangalore.

According to the police, they were partying and engaged in obscene dancing. A cash of Rs one lakh, 10 mobile sets and three cards have been seized from the arrested.

The arrested men are Vinod Bhagwandas, Mada Yashwant Poojary, Madhu Venkappa Shetty, Sandeep Balakrishna Shetty,Sachin Balakrishna Shetty. Harish Shetty and  Raja Kumar Shetty.

If two of the arrested women were from Hubli, two others were Nepali nationals. The police  said they have been booked under IPC Section 294 .
