Udupi:  Mysore Division Regional Commissioner M.V. Jayanthi holding an enquiry into Porngate event at St. Mary’s Isle on February 3 to 5 this year, arrived in Udupi and went to the Malpe beach with DC, M.T. Reju, SP- Boralingaiah, and assistant DC, Kumar of Udupi.

Reju showed a Map of St. Mary’s island to the guest, and gave details of what happened at the 3W concepts night shows. The team of 4 made a spot inspection of the purified and cleaned up island.

Reju said some self-help groups did the cleansing/cleaning work, after the Zouk festival. SI Sathish told Jayanthi that participants in the tourist festival were all below 42 years of age, young in mind and body.

Revenue official Puttaswamy was present. Public enquiry will be held on 2 days, March 28-29, as reported. Anyone interested can file his statement.
