Mangaluru : A Bengaluru-based businessman has lodged a complaint in a police station here accusing underworld operative Ravi Poojary of threatening him over phone.

In a complaint filed with the Barke police recently, Sohan Lal said he received a call on his mobile phone when he was near the Mangaluru City Corporation. The caller identified himself as Ravi Bhai and said he was speaking on behalf of Manoj and Mithulal of Bengaluru.

The caller reportedly told Mr. Lal not to show any interest in a real estate deal related to Goa. He then threatened to murder him if he went ahead with the deal. The Barke police said they suspected involvement of local persons.
