Mangaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said here on Monday that a conspiracy has been hatched in the national and international level to prevent Narendra Modi from becoming the Prime Minister again after next year’s Lok Sabha election.
Addressing presspersons, C.T. Ravi, general secretary, State unit of the party, said that Pakistan and China now feared Mr. Modi. They feared that if Mr. Modi became the Prime Minister again, India would emerge stronger. Hence, the conspiracy in the international level, he said.
In the national-level, the Congress and other parties such as the Janata Dal (Secular), Trinamool Congress, Telugu Desam Party, Samajwadi Party and the Nationalist Congress Party were coming together, fearing Mr. Modi. The parties feared that they would lose their relevance if Mr. Modi became the Prime Minister again. Their sole agenda was to defeat Mr. Modi, he said and added that the parties were now attempting to create unrest in the country.
Mr. Ravi said that ahead of Gujarat Assembly elections some of these parties tried to create unrest in society in the name of Patel, Dalit and Backward Class movement. That movement has now taken a rest in Gujurat. They might again launch it before the next elections. Now, they were trying to spread it to the Assembly poll-bound States of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. “They are pitching tents in those States,” he said.
He said that the Opposition parties were now attempting to create unrest in society in the name of farmers. It was a political conspiracy against the BJP. “The criminal minds of the Congress and the Communist parties are working towards this agenda, than with a real concern for farmers,” he said.
The same minds were trying to create unrest in the country by creating fear among the people that the Constitution was in danger and democracy was under a threat. Such minds would continue to spread this till the next Lok Sabha election, he said.
