Mangalore : DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forests Ecology and Environment B Ramanatha Rai who reportedly razed to ground a wall between his chamber and the room of his personal staff at the third floor of Vidhana Saudha has been criticized for the act.
The issue even led to heated debate in the house. Former CM BS Yeddyurappa and JD(S) leaders too spoke on the issue and criticized the minister’s act. However, Rai, has denied all allegations and said he was not responsible for the razing of the wall and that he had only sought a spacious chamber.
Meanwhile, sources said the minister did not believe in Vaastu and added the move was to help easy access between his staff and him in the chamber.
Earlier, former CM Yeddyurappa’s political secretary Shanker Patil Munenkoppa too had come under fire for demolishing a wall between two rooms on the third floor of the Vidhana Saudha.
