Udupi : The re-polling for 174th polling station at Uppinakudru has registered 69.32 percentage of polling at the government model higher primary school on April 29, Tuesday.
The polling station comes under 18-Byndoor assembly segment has witnessed 5.06 per cent less polling compared to the polling held on April 17, which registered 74.38 per cent.
Although the polling was held peacefully without witnessing any untoward incidents, the polling was comparatively less.
The polling station was adorned with traditional welcome garland at the entrance of the polling station. The booth has 1,167 voters including 629 are female voters.
The polling station registered 15 percentage of polling at 9 am, 28.37 percentage at 10 am, 40.2 percentage at 12.30, 51.45 percentage at 2.30 and 65 percentage at 4.30.
Assistant Returning Officer Dr Prabhulingu said that the booth had made seating arrangement and offered with leisurely reading materials like newspapers and magazines, drinking water facility and rest room for the voters.
Kundapur Tahsildar Gayathri Nayak said that the administration had made all the effort to hand over the slips to all the voters except 0 voters who were not present at their house. Voters were provided with all necessary information over the re-polling.
After the polling, the EVM has been immediately dispatched to Shimoga DC.
