Mangaluru : The real story based Tulu movie ‘Nemoda Boolya’ produced under Kudradi Kuladevatha banner released in Dakskshina Kannada and Udupi district on Friday. 22 September.
After inaugurating the movie realese function at Big Cinemas in Mangaluru Tulu Sahitya Academy President AC Bhandary said, Tulu language have contributed for the development of Tulu language and culture in Tulu Nadu by Daramas, cinemas.
Thuluvas and others to watch and promote creative Tulu movies. Good films can only give message to the society for the wellbeing of all, he said.
The movie, ‘Nemoda Boolya’ has been released at all parts of the Tulu Nadu on September 22 and is expected to get good support from the audience. Chandrashekhar Mada Kudradiguttu has produced the movie whereas BK Gangadhar worked as director the movie.
Speaking on the occasion, movie director expressed his confidence that his film will get good support from the audiences as it is based on a real incident occurred in Tulu Nadu.
Tulu cinema celebrities including TA Srinivas, Dr Sanjeev Dandekar, Devdas Kapikad, Vijaykumar Kodialbail, Sadananda Perla, artists who played roles in the movie and others were present in the launch of the new movie here. As of now, the movie is being screened at Big Cinemas, PVR Cinepolis in Mangaluru, Diana in Udupi, Amarashree in Moodbidri, Aruna in Puttur, Planet in Karkala and Inox Cinemas in Manipal.
Nemod Boolya is based on a real incident occurred 200 years ago at Bettampady of Puttur taluk. The movie depicts how a woman raises her voice against social injustice to punish a culprit and protects her dignity in the society.
Preetam Shetty, Rajani and Pradeepchandra Kuthpady have played lead roles in the film. The film has six songs which have been filmed Tulu Nadu. V Manohar has written lyrics and composed music for the film. Umapati has worked as cinematographer for the film while Prakash Karinje edited the visuals.
