Mangalore : The All India Christian Council (AICC) in association with Karnataka Missions Network (KMN) organized a Christian’s conference at Shanthi Kiran in Bajjodi, on November 7, Monday.
During the conference, they condemned the repeated attacks on churches in city, Subrahmanyam Swamy’s statements against minorities and his opposition of the communal violence prevention bill.
Justice Michael Saldanha, the Karnataka state president of AICC said that even though the media reported these attacks as violence, the minorities consider it as terrorism.He also said that violence against minorities is being increasing in Karnataka, MP, UP, Orissa, North East India, and Gujarath.
Addressing reporters, Walter Maben said that law-enforcement agencies must investigate these recent attacks on a chapel near Padua High School, St. Theresa High School, and St. Alphonsa Church in Kankanady as soon as possible and many people, including pastors, have claimed as victims.
Anand Kumar Jogul, the coordinator; Walter J. Maben, the chairman of KMN; and K. L. Ashok, the general secretary of Karnataka State Komu Souharda Vedike, were also present.
